Transport Malta has recently introduced a €15 million scheme aimed at encouraging the use of cleaner and more sustainable forms of transportation. The aim is to reduce the number of older conventional motor vehicles on the road and promote the use of more environmentally sustainable means of transportation.
The initiative will support the purchase of new electric vehicles in EU Category L, M, and N, including passenger cars, vans, goods-carrying vehicles, minibusses, coaches, quadricycles, motorcycles, and pedelecs.
This grant shall remain in force until the 31st of December 2023 or until the budgeted funds are exhausted.
